Functional Capacity Evaluation

Physiotherapy Associates' Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCEs) provide an objective assessment of the employee’s work and functional capabilities. 

Our FCEs include components from the employee’s actual job, so we are able to evaluate performance in real work situations, and include thorough and objective evaluations of function within the 3 domains of work: musculoskeletal, cardiovascular/metabolic, and psychophysical.

• An FCE is a specialized evaluation to determine an individual’s current level of function related to the performance of a specific job or to general occupational requirements.  Test components evaluated lifting, pushing/pulling and standing and walking tolerances.  These components help identify the employees major limiting factors, levels of function and lifting capacity for work classification, cardiovascular fitness, strength, flexibility and endurance.
• Physiotherapy Associates utilizes the recommended “Gold Standard” in functional testing with over 80% return to work rate.
• Our reports can be provided to your physician ,employer or case manager within 1 hour upon its completion and assist in case resolution.
