Champion Sports Medicine ATC Outreach
Certified Athletic Trainers are skilled professionals and are the first on the scene when a sports injury occurs. An ATC is a specialist in the prevention, diagnosis, emergency care and rehabilitation of athletic injuries. It is their responsibility to communicate between the athlete, physician, coaches and parents. But the ultimate goal of an ATC is preventing new injuries through exercise and knowledge.
ATC’s have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree, most in areas like athletic training or exercise science. They also have fulfilled the requirements set by the National Athletic Trainer’s Board of Certification.
Athletes at all levels can enhance their performance with strength training, conditioning, flexibility, nutritional programs and sport-specific training. CSM offers a variety of services to accommodate the many needs of student athletes. From prevention programs to game day and practice services, to strength and conditioning services, as well as educational services, CSM offers the programs and services student athletes need.
Champion Sports Medicine (CSM) provides sports medicine and sports performance services for more than 50 area college, high school and middle school teams.
